    Cricket St Thomas Hotel

Cricket St Thomas is a splendid example of 18th century architecture. Designed by Sir John Soane, this Grade II listed building set among the scenic and tranquil countryside of Somerset, is truly one of the most seductive manor houses in the country. Indeed it was here that To the Manor Born was filmed. The house offers magnificent countryside views and has its own Wildlife Park, which is home to many rare species, which hotel guests can enjoy at reduced rates.
Cricket St. Thomas today - Cricket House is a 19th century Grade II listed Manor House designed by the famous architect Sir John Soane. During the refurbishment by Warner both Cricket House and St Thomas' Church were left virtually untouched and the new buildings have been strategically placed to preserve the character of the estate. A cruciform arrangement has enabled existing trees to remain creating a series of courtyard gardens, which provide the bedrooms with a delightful setting.
The Ambassador Room is the standard type of accommodation at Cricket St Thomas Hotel, and is included in the price of the break. The accommodation follows the contours of the valley and is situated in either Cricket House the Courtyard or Walled Garden. The Walled Garden is adjacent to the historic Parish Church of Cricket St Thomas and is linked via a partially covered walkway.
